Social Squash

In-House Social Competition
The in-house social competition is an ideal way to meet other players of a similar level and widen your social squash group.
There are currently 16 divisions. You will be allocated to a group of 6-8 players of a similar level. Games are self-organised at a time that suits you both with the aim of playing once a week for 6 weeks.
Results are captured in a league table, so you can go up or down a grade. The aim is to ultimately match you against players at your level.

Squash Clubs
Squash Melbourne are proud to be home to two squash clubs, The Squash Melbourne Club (TSMC) and Maccabi Squash.
We host two Victorian pennants, Club Circuit and the Southern Squash League.
The Squash Melbourne Club (TSMC)
The Squash Melbourne Club was established in 2019 through the merger of several long-standing clubs, including the Moorabbin, Bentleigh, and Southland Squash Clubs.
TSMC takes great pride in having nurtured Conner and Darcy Hayes, who began their squash journeys as juniors at the Moorabbin Squash Club and have since progressed to competing professionally on the PSA World Tour.
TSMC have 12 teams playing in SSL (from A grade to C Reserve). There are 3 Club Circuit teams (C1, C2 & F2).
If you are interested, please contact Ty, the TSMC pennant co-ordinator.
The Maccabi Squash Club
The Maccabi Squash Club was reestablished in 2021. Following Maccabi’s absence from the Squash circuit they have returned with a bang and are always looking to expand! In 2024 Squash Melbourne became their dedicated squash venue.
They currently have two teams competing in the Southern Squash League (SSL)(C and D grade). Maccabi also have a newly established premier racquetball team.
Maccabi accept all types of players and you can be a veteran of the game or even a rookie! If you are interested please contact Justin Fulop.

Teams in the Club Circuit competition have 4 players each. They come from many of the private clubs around Melbourne, such as the Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club, the RACV Club and Mulgrave Country Club to name a few. The level of squash at the upper grades is near professional standard but there are grades to suit all players. With 14 Grades available, all standards of competitive squash can be catered for.
Visiting teams in the Club Circuit competition are invited to enjoy a sit down meal and drinks after the matches are played, developing a great camaraderie amongst teams and ensuring comprehensive post-mortems of the evenings play!
Home and away matches are played one evening a week over 15 weeks plus finals from 6.30pm to 9.30pm followed by supper.

The Southern Squash League (SSL) run three competitions each year, with state grade teams at the top end of the league and lower grade teams to suit all standards and experience. There are 3 player per team. The general nature of squash in the SSL is competitive but casual and friendly!
Matches are typically held on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings at courts around the Melbourne metropolitan area, from 7pm to 9pm. There is no formal dinner but teams sometimes order in pizza over a few drinks after their games.
